Very Disappointed Jul 20, 2009 Many techniques have steps missing and although there is a CD with the book almost all of the tantalizing projects are not on the CD. To me, I feel I wasted good money.
Bait and Switch Jul 10, 2009 I bought this book thinking it would be a useful guide for learning CS3. While it does have some interesting ideas...the problem is that a)key things are left out of the explanations and they are thoroughly confusing at times; b)there are no pictures for the most interesting, detailed projects where you would actually benefit from having a picture to help you. The images on the CD cannot be viewed in advance and are disappointing. Save your money and skim it in the bookstore.

Photoshop for Photographers Book Review Apr 15, 2009 I had to purchase this book for a College course I am taking and I am absolutely amazed at the wealth of information in it.
Mr. Evening has come up with the kind of book that really helps you understand why you are doing something and then shows you how to do it. If only some College Professors were like that...
Amazing book at an amazing price.

Fantastic Apr 08, 2009 If I am honest I haven't used this book much but when I am stuck on something in photoshop I find it very helpful.
The only photoshop training I have had was purely design based rather than photo based and there is plenty that I do not know about using this program. I was also trained using CS2 and was totally new to CS3, while it is not very different it can be confusing if you don't know what you are looking for.
The fact that this book is aimed at photographers and a particular version of the Adobe Photoshop program is fantastic and it is so easy to find information on how to do things.
I have never not found what I am looking for and I learn new stuff every time I go back to this book.
A definite must have for photographers using Adobe Photoshop CS3.
